While our stay had its moments, it was a mixed bag. The cleanliness of our room was a plus, and we appreciated the updated features, but the persistent spiderwebs and unaddressed maintenance issues dampened the experience. The location was nice for some leisure activities, but service could use improvement, especially in housekeeping responsiveness.

Rooms
7.0
The unit was clean and surprisingly well-maintained despite its age, although it felt a bit cramped with limited kitchen supplies for the number of guests it accommodated.
Service
5.0
The service was inconsistent; while the front desk staff were friendly, housekeeping was often delayed in responding to our requests.
Location
8.0
The spot near the lake was convenient for a peaceful retreat and offered easy access to local attractions.
Dining
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like the pool and gym looked decent but were plagued by spiderwebs, suggesting a lack of thorough upkeep.

5.8/10

I had a mixed experience at this resort. The amenities were plentiful, like the waterpark and activity center, but I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the accommodation. The location was great for exploring East Texas, but it felt like the upkeep of the property could use a lot more attention.

Rooms
5.0
While the amenities were nice, the cleanliness left much to be desired. We encountered mold in the shower and dirty floors, which was especially concerning with a baby around.
Service
5.0
Staff seemed friendly enough, but they didn't address the wasp issue I reported multiple times, which was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The resort's location was a big plus, making it easy to access local attractions like the municipal rose garden and the Texas state railroad.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast options were decent but nothing extraordinary. I did enjoy our time by the marina.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities like the waterpark and pools were fun, but the common areas felt neglected.

5.0/10

This hotel has potential but was ultimately disappointing. The rooms didn't match the pictures, and the unit was moldy and poorly maintained. While the location near the lake is beautiful, there are issues with safety and cleanliness. The overall experience was not worth the price we paid.

Rooms
5.0
Our unit was nothing like the pictures, moldy, and the flooring felt soggy. It was poorly designed, lacked adequate noise reduction, and mattresses were old.
Service
5.0
The staff addressed concerns quickly, but it felt like they weren't truly invested in providing a great experience.
Location
6.0
The location by the lake is stunning, but the deteriorating wood around the play area poses a safety risk.

The resort has great amenities like a full kitchen, but they were lacking in essential supplies for our group size.

6.8/10

My family had a wonderful time at this serene spot overlooking Lake Palestine. The staff were attentive and welcoming, really making us feel at home. However, the units felt a bit outdated and in need of maintenance, and this detracted from the overall experience. While the resort itself offered plenty of activities, the condition of the facilities could definitely use some attention.

Rooms
6.0
The units were spacious and clean, but they really need an overall update. Some aspects felt like they hadn't changed in two decades, which was disappointing.
Service
8.0
The staff were very accommodating and friendly, which enhanced our stay despite some of the resort's shortcomings.
Location
7.0
The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature. However, it’s quite remote and not near any major attractions, making it feel a bit isolated.
Dining
7.0
Dining options could have been better, but we enjoyed breakfast at the marina overlooking the lake.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were nice, with plenty for families to do, but I found some equipment, like playground areas, showing signs of deterioration.

I recently had a stay at this resort and really appreciated the quiet atmosphere and variety of activities available. The amenities were a hit with my family, particularly the waterpark. However, I did have some issues with cleanliness in the room, which was disappointing. Overall, it provided a fun family-friendly experience, but improvements are needed in the housekeeping department.

Rooms
6.0
While the rooms were generally spacious and comfortable, I did notice some cobwebs in the dining room and spiderwebs on the balcony, which made it feel less clean.
Service
8.0
The staff were very friendly and helpful, addressing any concerns promptly.
Location
9.0
The location was beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect getaway near the lake and close to Tyler for some shopping and dining.
Dining
7.0
There were a few restaurants on the property with reasonable prices. However, I didn't indulge much in the dining options during my stay.
Facilities
8.0
The resort offered a great range of family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, an arcade, and a waterpark that my kids loved.
